The debut album of 29-year-old pianist and composer Roberto Esposito, entitled "THE DECADES", released by Workin' Label and distributed by IRD. "ThreeHouses where EarthDives until theEnd of theCurves of myArchDipping sunEverywhere into mySea" are the lines of a short poetic text written by Roberto, on the wave of memories of his homeland, Salento, and the places of his childhood, from which extracts the acronym "THE DECADES" that will give the title to the album. The disc contains 10 original works for solo piano, result of a writing job and experiences in the interaction between languages and creative research. The only non-original song is "Kalinifta",famous song taken from the Salento's Grika tradition repertoire. The compositions receive both references to the folk music of southern Italy (pizzica, taranta), mediated by a jazz improvisation  language, and to compositional and formal classic patterns such as impromptus, studies, fantasias, rhapsodies. The Maestro Roberto Cappello writes about him: "A pianist with a remarkable versatility and a musical nature of the highest level, thanks to which he can face the repertoire in a compete way, ranging from Beethoven to Gerswhin, indifferently", highlighting how, behind the 88 keys of his piano, Roberto Esposito has dealt with the most varied and different stages and  audiences, from jazz to classical music, and with the most various collaborations. Fantasy and creativity, its greatest strengths, allowed him to develop piano  concepts embeding them in a really personal mixture of styles and colors.
